About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Payroll & Administration team member to join our hardworking HR & Administration Support team based in Waihi.

Reporting to the HR & Payroll Specialist you’ll process payroll for approximately 250 employees across our nationwide operations ensuring accuracy and timely processing. You’ll administer our payroll systems, ensuring compliance, leave reporting, and other payroll associated tasks while providing other administration support to our team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Process payroll for waged employees;
• Maintain payroll accuracy across time, attendance, and rostering functions;
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation and employment agreements;
• Utilise payroll systems (IPayroll experience an advantage) and related reporting;
• Support payroll projects, and system enhancements;
• Provide payroll advice and support to managers and employees across the business;

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

•Previous administrative and payroll experience is a primary requirement

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

• Proven understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• High proficiency with Microsoft office suite, with a focus on Excel and familiarity with IPayroll (or a similar system)

• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in managing sensitive payroll data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a solutions-focused approach

• Have the flexibility to turn on a pinhead
