About the Role

We’re looking for motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Driller Assistant.

No previous drilling experience is required. If you’re physically fit, mechanically minded, enjoy working outdoors, and are willing to learn, we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

As a Driller Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced drillers to recover core samples for mineral exploration projects throughout New Zealand. You’ll be part of a close-knit crew that values teamwork, respect, and getting the job done safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe operation of drilling equipment.
• Complete daily pre-start inspections and safety checks.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and complete required documentation.
• Assist with routine maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Load and unload vehicles and equipment.
• Keep drill rigs, vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organised.
• Help set up, dismantle, and relocate drilling rigs.
• Carry out other duties as required by the drilling crew.

What We’re Looking For

• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Physically fit and capable of manual work in all weather conditions.
• Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and complete training.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work well in a team.
• Clean criminal history.
• New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
